I received the same offer, however it appears only valid for the member who received the email and not open to all

*Offer only available to
Velocity Frequent Flyer members who are the named recipient of this email and
who transfer the minimum points requirement, in one single transfer, from one
of the participating bank partners to their Velocity Account between 22 September
2014 and 6 October 2014. The Status Credits will be awarded once only and only
upon transferring the required number of reward points to their Velocity
Account. Multiple or accumulative transfers from one or more partners will not
be eligible for the Status Credits

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Imagine how popular this would be amongst those who have a large pool of hotel points they could transfer if it was opened up to hotel transfers ;)

Hi tinkybelle.

What about setting up family pooling from your husband to you? You could always switch it off after the transfer was complete.

I *believe* that flights booked through the VA website with a VA code count as eligible flights towards status, even if operated by EY/NZ/SQ etc... worth checking if you have more upcoming international travel.

I'll be checking that, thanks! I need 400 sc's to get to plat by June... Maybe, maybe I'll make it !!!!! I have picked up some great tips from you guys, just need to get my head around it all :!:

The offer that I received today was totally useless to me and I've since deleted it, but the e-mail said something like.....

Transfer the equivalent of 10,000 Velocity points for 50 SC's, 20,000 for 75 SC's, or 30,000 for 100 SC's. Only applicable to some Amex, CBA and ANZ credit cards, which rules me out, even if I wanted in.

(I have enough Citibank Reward points for 20,000 Velocity points, but even if Citibank was part of the promo, 75 SC's would be wasted on me.)

That sounds like an awesome offer! No such offer received! Depending on what Amex cards it includes, might be quite useful to me.

From my browser history......

Participating Partners Information

American Express Membership Rewards
ANZ Business One Visa
Commonwealth Bank
ANZ Rewards

I have 120k citibank points I would transfer over to get this :(

The maximum allowed was the equivalent of 30,000 Velocity points for 100 SC's.

Like others in the "10% or 15% Transfer Bonus due around now?" thread, I'd rather some bonus points that I could use, rather than SC's which would just go to waste in my case.

Amex MR very useful! Shame it's limited to 30K points and 100 SC's though, but might still be very useful.

Both bonus and SC's would be nice!!

Damn that does sound good! Anyone else have an email like that?

Also got same email today, SCs would also be wasted, besides holding onto cc points until SQ/VA transfer rates are published. Depending on transfer rates might be better off to start transfering direct to SQ for upgrades.

Does the email limit the promotion to only recipients? or provide a link to it on the velocity site?

Damn I hate missing out on these limited promotions... I could use the status credits at the moment.

Seems to be specific to account unfortunately, I had a look and there were no external links to VA for the promo, only links direct to the general Awards sites for participating CC.

Similiar T&Cs as per WilliamsF1 posted in earlier post.

That's an extremely generous offer considering the previous general offer was to transfer 100,000 Amex points for 100 SCs.

Absolute PITA that they're going down this path yet again. A flyer wants status......let them put their money down and actually fly for the benefit.

VA, the company that rewards the disloyal whilst shunning the loyal. What a pack of clowns.

Not sure how they have targeted this one, but the last one was based on people not having transferred points over in the last 24 months.
