Tourist visa for Indonesia

Just confirming, for transit passengers on different tickets, that a visa is still necessary. And if so is it the B1 "on arrival" Visa (Rp500,000). Has anyone applied for it in advance?
That’s effectively the same as eVOA.

If transiting CGK, you can go directly to the Smartgates with eVOA.

Yes, unless you can get checked through and have both BPs issued at your origin.

You can apply for an eVOA here: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/

I believe the price is the same, but it saves you lining up for manual processing/payment and you can go straight for the e-gates.

Thanks, guys. What address do you put down? I am having trouble

Doubt it, I'm travelling EK paid and transferring to QF rewards. So visa it is. I've only got a 4.5hr connection time so I'd like to get the visa before arriving.

I followed the link above which takes me through the options and lands on the B1 visa - but before completing the processing I want to make sure that this the same thing as the EVOA (I know you said, SYD, that it's effectively the same, but I can't see another option?? So is it one and the same?)

Also, it asks for an address where I'm staying. I'm not so I've tried to say I'm staying at "other" and then write that I'm a transit passenger, but it still asks for an address. What have others entered here?

Yep, it’s the same thing. You’re just getting the electronic “e” Visa on Arrival via the website.

Re address. Yes, good question! Probably doesn’t really matter? Maybe an airport hotel?

Unless there’s a “Transit” option?

@FlyingFiona, You’re transiting at DPS yeah?
In which case, just use the Novotel as the address.
Jalan Raya Ngurah Rai, Tuban, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali 80362
You should be able to just put the postcode in and it’ll auto select the nearest immi agency.
