In the past, I would usually get my TRS refund (to a credit card) within a week or so but it has now been more than 2 weeks since I submitted my claim, and nothing to date. Upon checking the TRS webpage, I note:

Refunds to a credit card or to an Australian bank account will generally be paid within 60 days. Refunds by cheque can take up to two months.

Are you a traveller?

What have others' recent experiences been? Thanks

In mid April I had 7 business days (11 total days) for an EFT payment.
I realise that this isn't credit card, however I only ever opt for EFT Transfer.

Interestingly, the EFT transfer came from "Global Blue GST Refund". I'm fairly sure Global Blue is a company that provides GST refunds in countries where it is full outsourced. So maybe TRS has been recently part-outsourced in Australia?

Just looked up our claim made in March. We lodged the claim on 14th March, processed on 16th and received on 29th so 2 weeks. Payment was to credit card. Seeing your post reminded me to check we had received it.

Just to tidy this thread up, the refund hit my credit card overnight, 18 calender days after I submitted the claim.

They certainly processed my TRS for my purchased from London/Paris. There were also a few other similar organisations too.

I was told last night, by the customs agent at the TRS counter in Perth, refunds to credit cards can take up to 30 days but are normally received within 20.
