Top Three Holiday Photos

There are so many possibilities, but this is the most recent trip to Queenstown and surrounds, New Zealand. Didn’t bring a camera, so they were all taken with a mobile. It is such a beautiful country.

Between work obligations in Amsterdam and Klosters last July, I managed a quick trip to the battlefields in northern France and Belgium to see our boys. They’ve been there for over 100 years and want them to know we remember them.

We managed to enjoy a month in Sri Lanka in February 2020, just before all the COVID19 stuff hit the fan. What a beautiful country. These photos include the Airbnb place we stayed in and some of the surrounding sites, including on the exclusive Taprobane private Island (which, @2k per night, we did not stay on).

Sometimes it is the simplest of things, I love both of these photos taken by hubby. The flowers are my ipad screen saver and the dogs I have made into a canvas for the wall (drives our cat batty)

Love this thread at a time of worry plus boredom, so I registered to add my own three. These are of China's Great wall at Badaling, taken in 2007. What makes them special is the lack of air pollution (it was a very windy day) and the lack of people crowding out the many shots I took.Greatwall11.JPGGreatwall15.JPGGreatwall17.JPG

In/near Durbar Square, Kathmandu? I did the same trip, same year, except starting from Canberra.

I also went Canberra to London, but left in November 1978, got to London in April 1979. I flew to Singapore from Sydney though, and very much regret not going to Burma as it was then and not having a camera.

Anyway, Syria 2010, Mar Musa, sadly it was reported that Father Paolo was killed by isis, however this states he may still be alive, hope so.
