If you can find the horizontal timber/metal battens for the internal sliding door
But it means getting out of shower to get the towels.

Possibly swivel towel racks can do the trick assuming there is enough vertical space between the swing of the shower door and bathroom door frame.

Or put the towel rail on the shower door itself

Maybe inconvenient? I mean, our towels are on the opposite side of our bathroom and it’s not the end of the world. There wasnt anywhere else. Who designs these things 🤦‍♀️
Agree about inconvenience but maybe give them a choice so have rings and rails

I always place towel near to shower stall at the start . Have to get out to get it otherwise so not a deal breaker.

Even if the shower door hinge can be changed to the other side, the shower door may still impinge on the horizontal towel rail

Best solution is reverse the shower door hinge and use a swivel towel rail. But it's whether the builder willing to make that change at no cost.
