TomCat's new digs!

No way for the open pantry - it's never going to look that neat. I like the racks for the baking trays though - where are they from?
My current dilemma - move to established place or build again and I get very excited with all the stuff around now
The pantry will be behind closed doors but I like the pull out steel mesh draws to save my back/easy access and the baking tray rack because I have so many and some of my cooling trays and pans are extra large size so might be a custom.

We have pull out pantry racks. Really good except when something like a packet of chips drops down when rack pulled out and you hear the scrunch as you push them back in.

KMart and IKEA. I think I’m shopping there multiple times a week at the moment.

Wonder if I can sneak in a visit this weekend. I've got a list a mile long .
And their trolleys are just not big enough! I’ve been three times this week. Decided to do all the little things that make a house look nice for sale but have the pleasure of living in it for 12 months.

You need to sort through the carp stuff but some things are great to hack.

And every time MrP comes home from work he has to do a tour because give me 2 days without having to take time out to cook dinner I can totally mod up a room! He is away for the week next week. Watch out!

Sorry for the digression TomKat!

I dont have the decorating gene - which is why I think I'll need decorator advise when we finally do the KDR, otherwise its only a couch, table and TV.

I got told no :D
We were suppose to go to Natuzzi, to pick out a tasteful 4 seater with chiase but we got there about 30mins too early and Harvey Norman was open so we went there "just to look". This was suppose to be the first "grown up" furniture we would own together.

Took him about 2 mins, he sat down and said, "This is it, Im not looking anymore". Custom leather, high backed, full recline with cup holders and snack bins.

To be honest, new house will have similar, it just works for us.

Nope, I dont use appliances in the pantry.

In my pantry: microwave, bread maker, coffee maker, even a (second, small) sink, phone jack, so wi-fi router and NAS box. Close the door and they are all gone. (I need all the tricks I can muster to have a neat(-ish) kitchen.

Linen cupboard for the plug in cordless Dyson stick?
We have this enclosed space under our stairs. A dumping place. Christmas tree etc etc. I cleaned it out last week and found a power outlet there. Now it’s all cleaned out it’s where the Dyson gets charged. Perfect as our laundry makeover with an over the machine bench took out the place it used to live.

Yeah, looking fantastic!

What did you use for the stair spoke thingies? Timber or metal? And Im a +1 on the timber laminate, thinking thats what we'll go with as Im not fussed as long as its hard wearing.

What sort of underlay did you use on the flooring? I hate that fake clicky sound when you walk on it and told it has a lot to do with the underlay so better underlay, the sound will be gone.

Go engineered timber flooring if you can afford it, a big step above laminate.
