90 day service on the house today; two people here checking doors, touching up paint, removing paint smears etc. some things will be booked in to be fixed later such as two cracked tiles, loose flooring and a big scratch in our stacker door. Plus the dents in the colourbond roof. Overall our list was mostly minor stuff.

Our house is teeming with tradies today. Three carpenters, the scaffold builders, piles of scaffold and the painter. The foreman drops in from time to time. We are having windows replaced upstairs and the replacements arrived months ago so have been moving them around the house to ensure they don’t get broken. Two parts were upstairs and two downstairs. I’d had a shower and was still in the bedroom then decided to check out what was happening. Upstairs windows were wide open (thankfully cat had been with me) and all the replacements were in the one room. So the tradie had been roaming the house gathering them and I didn’t even know anyone was in the house. This is what happens when a two story building needs painting! It’s been almost a year since the Reno’s started and I guess they all know the place right now.

Tradies are all done, pretty happy with what they’ve achieved. It’s just the bigger stuff to be done later. They even fixed a chip in the floor that was my fault.

I’ve always wanted to grow figs. What variety have you planted? I had read about roots becoming invasive.

From memory a purple Smyrna. Haven’t had a problem with roots, even dug up and moved one at our old house without much hassle.
