Tokyo Night Club

Can anyone suggest good night clubs in Tokyo for dancing. Most of us is in our late forties and early fifties. We will be staying around Shinjuku.

Be aware that the US Consul website has a warning about drink spiking in Rappongi. I'd avoid anywhere with a tout outside.

If you are already in Shinjuku then head to the Golden Gai. Lots of little, little bars but heaps of character.

There is a karoke bar that does 500yen half litre of Asahi when you enter from the Shinjuku station side. It is awesome.

Bring cash as these places don't do cards.

Not sure about dancing as such, but just down the train line in Shibuya is
Club Quattro which is apparently a live venue for bands.

From memory the Hilton Shinjuku turns the lobby bar into a salsa dance club on Sunday nights.

So that basically rules out all of Roppongi
