Hi guys,
Got an upcoming trip to the US coming up, flights to and from LA are with VA, all flights around US are on Delta. It was all booked with a travel agent and every flight is on the VA itinerary. The Delta flights have DL flight numbers tho. Just wondering if there are any tips for ensuring the DL flights get credited as fast as possible as i will most likely make gold mid way during the trip.

I don't think there is anything you can do to fast track it, just ensure you number is on all boarding passes etc, in my experience DL post within around 7 days VX usually take longer. Make sure you keep all your boarding passes just in case.

Thanks,
I can see in the virtuallythere eticket that my velocity number is listed under guest information. Never flown with DL before, should i remind them of my Velocity number when checking in for the flights?

It should be on your boarding pass if not get them to add but if its on the ticket should be fine, just keep the boarding passes in case some points/sc's don't post then you can follow up when you get back. Have fun!

1- confirm the DL flights are actually operated by DL or a delta connection airline and not a invalid codeshare like AS Delta Connection® Carriers information at delta.com

3- Confirm that your VA FFN is attached to the DL segments ( should be able to display your booking on Delta.com)

3- As mentioned earlier , DL flights take up to 7 days to credit , also if that tips you over to gold, it is atleast another week untill your GOLD status is updated in the DL system

Just checked delta.com, shows all my bookings but i cant see anywhere where it shows my FFN, is there anyway to attach it via the site?

Also just noticed i can select my seat on the MEL-LA flight on the delta site, does anyone know if this seat selection will stick?

Flew MEL to LAX, LAX to MCO, TPA to LAX, LAX to SYD, SYD to MEL all with DL flight numbers but on VA metal AUS/USA return.
Selected seats online and they were the ones we occupied.
It took 10-11 days for points and status credits to be credited to our accounts.

I just did Syd-LAX and back with lots of internals with Delta. The Delta points appeared on my account within a few hours on most occasions, and by the next morning at the worst.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
