It must be rebranding week this week.

My Place of Employment started rebranding this week but no JQ uniform for me just yet.

The original use of the jumping tiger logo was completely lost on me. I just remember them being another orange blob next to a slightly different orange blob, with bits of silver.

As long as they don't go down that disastrous reality TV route again and make an effort to never cancel the last flight out of the day, then they will 'go' okay. I'm not going as far as to say 'go' equates to RyanAir/EasyJet profitability, but not loose millions of dollars for VA. People will tolerate long delays and strict baggage & check in requirements for bargain basement fares as long as they get there in the end.

I have a theory that if I can't do the JQ jump when I do my next medical, I'll fail.

I've already asked once for permission to taxi to the platform when in a yard.

Tiger's default statement on that TV show seemed to be "If you don't like us, go fly another airline."

I wonder if they'd now say "If you don't like it, fly Virgin Australia"?

To be honest I was expecting a change to the Scoot name, albeit Tiger has a far better name in Singapore compared to Australia

The TV show will never make a return as this was one of the things the former boss dictated. There is some major product enhancements coming in the next weeks to months, one you can already see when purchasing a flight. From what I can tell TT is moving down the path of EZY and I believe with the added fleet numbers specifically coming in the next year and a half that VA/TT will be a force to be reckoned with.

One of the new features that TT has finally accepted is FIMing PAX to VA when there are cancellations. The whole new model is to get the PAX there some way or another.

As if to mock me, I saw a JQ ad amongst all the new Sydney Trains posters at St James.

Interestingly, VA were advertising on the large at screens in the country section of Central.

To get back on topic, who ever called Tiger "Tiger Airways"? Probably the same people who would call Tiger "Tigerair" - to many passengers, Tiger is Tiger is Tiger.
