tiger air now have a Taipei base

yes it's tiger, but like Air Asia are sufferable for the shorter intra asia trips.

They now have direct flights out of Taipei to Narita and Bangkok (DMK), Macau - possibly others but not easy to check.

Could be useful for anyone looking for a cheap flight.

I only picked up on it after putting in the wrong dates in a skyscanner alert.

Helps to add some competition on a route that has been decidedly uncompetitive.

Could help bring some of the airfares down.

Haven't checked TPE recently but consistently see Tiger BKK-HKG <AUD100 for dates I check. Only problem for me is golf clubs make the UL/RJ flights cheaper.
