Hey guys,

I dont get this, I recently (less than a week ago) made a booking for a waitlisted depature flight and a reserved (available) return flight. I just got this email saying i have a few days left to confirm my return flight. I dont know how to confirm it as it doesnt seem available on my booking, do i need to cancel my waitlisted flight first? That would be a shame. I am overseas so its not easy for me to call singapore airlines help line as my phone plan doesnt have the credit for a voice call, only data and wifi. I thought i would have till 2 weeks before the flight for waitlist. But looks like for a reserved flight you only get 1 week or you lose it? I definitely want to keep my reserved flight and would like to have still kept my waitlisted flight as well.

What country are you in? If Singapore Airlines serves your country, they will have a local phone number for your country. Go to https://www.singaporeair.com/contactUs.form and choose your country (and city, if applicable). If this doesn't work, you can use tools like Skype dial-out to call to any country's local numbers with your data plan, but you would need to sign up if you don't have a Skype/Microsoft account already. There are competing services of course.

Sorry I'm not familiar with the details of waitlisted flights.

Thanks i managed to get in touch with them and have split up the bookings. What a weird system, First time i am using it. Looks like its always better to have separate bookings for waitlisted flights
