We were in the middle of a Finnair J rtw ticket and due to fly out of Oslo on this ticket when the Norwegian government closed their borders. Unfortunately we were due to arrive in Oslo the day after the closures.

We were booked to fly Oslo, Helsinki, Singapore then Sydney. However because we could not fly the Oslo Helsinki leg our whole ticket was cancelled. In order to get home we had to purchase a one way ticket from Helsinki to Sydney. As one way tickets are so expensive we could not afford J and flew home PE. However we ended up flying from Singapore on QF2 in PE on the flight that we actually had a ticket for in J!

I would have thought that, in a time when travel decisions are being taken out of travellers hands, that regulations could be reduced a little.

It is good to be back home though!
