I'm struck by how dour everyone looks in the photos in your last post @Cossie. Life looks like it was (and likely still is) pretty hard.

And what a great idea for a TR! It has inspired me to think about going through my old physical photos, from trips taken from 1975 onwards. Haven't got to it yet, but I'm thinking about it.

Great TR - so interesting to see the place in the 80's and how hard life was for those living there. Thanks for putting it together. I am sure there are more TRs just waiting to burst out.

Great photos but like you I wish when I was travelling in the 80s we had digital cameras and phones because there were so many great moments that were never captured
