A hapless Chinese tourist was robbed in Germany and unbeknownst to him instead of reporting it to the police he ended up applying for Asylum and spent the next twelve nights in a refugee hostel.

You couldn't make this stuff up !! :eek: :!:

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. But yes, you certainly couldn't make that kind of stuff up!

What I want to know, is why it took them 12 days before they thought to find an interpreter?

It wasn't even an interpreter, it was a guy from a local Chinese restaurant :o Scary!

The entire thing just is beyond understand that they could get it so wrong... Yes lack of language but 12 days to get it sorted...
