I shouldn't quote this one, however I have heard sources that Cathay Pacific is having a media event next Monday (20 April) for the reopening of The Wing.

The Wing should reopen before end of next week due to ANZAC Day public day travel, Japan Golden Week Travel from 29 April and also Labour Day golden week in China from 1st May.

It appears that we are losing Cabanas, which is sad. I just hope there's better meal options at The Wing.

Finally looks like Qantas P1 and PT members doesn't need to go to Gate 63 to attend the lounge they deserve.

I actually preferred the Pier F over the Wing F (the Wing of course was fantastic when it was the only option).

If they become similar, then that’s great. I’ll just go to the closest!

It is a real pain to get from The Pier F (gate 63) to a low numbered gate. I usually start slowly walking about 75 mins prior to departure!

Or take the train? 🤷‍♂️

I’ve actually walked it / travelators in 10 or so minutes! Unannounced gate change! 😂

You can't take the train back. Only there. One of the weird small gripes i have with HKG, but thats purely because I want to goto Pier.

I always prefer The Wing than the Pier, unless my gate is 40+.
I find walking all the way back from Pier First to Gate 1 - 23 is very long and could be very unfriendly if you are travelling with elderly.
With the Pier closure, I have missed The Pier F lounge visit for my last 20 Cathay Pacific flights because the my gates are of a small number.

I love the walk! I have been to HKG a few times now over the years and enjoy the walk from one end to the other. I pass a few folks on the travelater.
A great way to break up the long trip from Europe to Aus.

Pier F and MEL F are my favorite lounges that I have attended. I did also enjoy my brief visit to the Deck F last year.

Hey guys, just go to the Deck. Lovely staff and nicely comfortable and exclusive. And it's close to the low numbered gates.

Don't waste your valuable time with the Pier. It's really not exceptional IMO and it's a long way from many gates.

They probably will shut down the Deck as F lounge once the Wing F re-opens.

I remember the times when the deck was a J lounge pre-Covid 😍

I think it is likely. The Deck was act as a tempoary lounge during closure from The Wing F.

Yet I am disappointed with the lack of full meal option at The Deck F.
