Hanging out on Smith Street in Summer Hill Sydney. We usually check out The Temperance Society for a drink, laugh, and live music.

Their prices are quite reasonable

On board SQ. My distaste for the SQ Regional J seats has not changed. Hard and very tight. The seat control panel is right next to my elbow. I was switching on reading lights all the time. The headphone plug is also there and I had to replace the headphones because a plug was bent by my elbow against it. It is a good thing that this leg was on points. The FA who changed the headphones said that she also found them tight



Sunrise just out of Perth. We took a very unusual route. Passing close to Bali and then well to the east of Jakarta very nearly flying over Borneo. Normally we pass way to the west of these places. A FA told me that it was to avoid a volcano. Probably Mt Sinabung in Sumatra which began erupting a few days ago.

The Museum of Art São Paulo. One big room. From the entry you start by passing some lesser known local artists. The artworks get progressively older and artists more recognised. An interesting and effective way of displaying them. The titles were all on the backs of the paintings.

Steam locomotive 3801 made a visit to Canberra over the weekend. The locomotive entered into service in 1943 and was finally withdrawn in 1970. The locomotive then went on to run across landmark rail lines. 3801 was withdrawn from service in 2007 and after an extensive overhaul, returned to service in 2021. The trip was short, just over an hour in a restored rail car. Each of the trips were a sellout.

We were in car B, had to shut the windows quick when going through tunnels less we got a belt of steam and smoke.
