The view or two from my "office"

Last night was a fantastic clear night in eastern Tasmania. iPhone pics

Wow! Looking directly into the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy!

Pretty impressive for a phone camera.

Winter is always the best for star gazing - shame it’s usually $&!@ cold!

It does look impressive from below. I wouldn't like to do the walk to the rock from the carpark and my fear of heights would stop me getting close to the edge anyway. We're the goats on the cliff a little way away?
Goats? There was? You could see people up at the edge of the rock. I may have done the hike if I was 10 years younger 😅

Our tour boat from Stavanger stopped to feed a flock of about half a dozen goats on a cliffside just before Pulpit Rock. It would require me to be at least 15 years younger for that hike.

Oh yes there was 2 mountain goats just before the Pulpit rock right down by the water. We had toured the fjord on a silent electric boat so could get really close. Saw a harbour seal bathing on the rocks too.

Are you in Norway right now? Which boat? We’ve been having the Viking ships at each port/city so far we have visited starting from Oslo

Are you on a cruise @LinaLee or overland?

I am afraid that our last Norway trip was way back in 2019. We hired a car and did a loop from Oslo up the inland way via Lillehammer. Then over the Trollsteigen mountain road to Alesund and then down the coastal road via Bergen, Sandane, Haugesund, Stavanger and Kristiansand. Our boats were mainly the car ferries across various fjords plus the tour boat to the Pulpit Rock and a small boat out to an island offshore of the also small town of Selje.

The goats we saw are apparently dropped off at the start of spring by the tour boat company so that they can be visited as part of the trip up the fjord.

The goats being given treats off the boat nuzzled up to the cliff edge

I’m doing a mix of planes, trains, ferry, car ferry, bus and one overnight on the hurtigruten from Trondheim to Lofoten; to get around all the way from Oslo to Lofoten via the west coast fjords Over 21 Days.

Time really flies we are 9 days in. Today taking the ferry into Aurlanfjord via Sognefjord.

Could be the same goats😉

Looks and sounds like a great trip @LinaLee
We are looking at a trip to Norway next year. Never been before.
Happy to help if you have questions. I used a local travel curator but won’t really recommend. Not that they were bad. Just frustrating in timely comms and the logistics. Some days if I had more time I would organise it myself. There’s just too many moving parts on this trip so I got some help after all my research and basically did the work for them …..
