The view or two from my "office"

SIN T3 Kris Flyer J lounge - strangely deserted at 4 AM although the nap room is full. 7 hour transfer and happy to slum it here rather than spend $460+++ at the Crowne place for maybe 4 hours in a bed. Baileys helps.

I was happy to learn that the lounges are opening earlier for flights impacted by the more circular route. Nevertheless, long stopovers are a pain!

Almost unnecessary but I follow the rules: the view from my new floating “office’ in Paris, France. (To reiterate, I am cruising with Avalon Waterways. Three back-to-back 7-day cruises booked as “France Uncorked”. Silly name, but extremely wonderful cruises.). This was the start of the second segment, Paris to Normandy.

Giverny, France, home, inspiration and burial place of Claude Monet. I could actually post more photos of course! There is the water garden, his second property purchase, the flower gardens adjacent to his house, and also the house itself. There are copies of many of his paintings in the house, as well as his beloved Japanese etchings.

Please forgive one extra of the garden from Monet’s bedroom window, even if it doesn’t do justice to the thousands of plants in full bloom. 🙏

We cycled to Giverny from our river ship docked in Vernon.

Loading the large Incat electric ferry onto a transport ship to S America. River Derwent, Hobart.

Was reading about that the other day, like the Newcastle Light Rail it charges in port using rapid chargers (80% SOC in 80 minutes) and the weight of its batteries is less than that of an equivalent diesel.

The multiple electric ferries we used in Norway for crossing the various fjords used that method and seemed to work very well. Obviously on shorter routes.
