I posted views of the aviation related parts of the Deutches Museum, but it would be remiss of me not to point out its excellent music displays.

From classical to jazz, recording equipment and even some original Beatles gear.

The Catholic church. No gold leaf here, just beautiful blue. The priest did say that participation is down (like most churches in the world these days), but they have music to entice the younger people in.

My “office” on Tuesday, Bridgetown, Barbados. Virgin’s Reliant Lady was rocked in front of us, and the mammoth MSC Virtuosos along the next pier.



I rode the heritage railway to this lovely vantage point over the west coast of the island.

My office is “airport lounge world”.

The name is very fancy for a mid-range business lounge.


Pro tip: There’s a very discreet set of stairs near the loos just after you enter.

Very few people realise there’s an upstairs section that’s very quiet and has recliner style couches if you need a nap.

The plonk on offer was this and I thought “duckitt, I’ll give that a shot”.

After the first sip I thought “duckitt” and switched to the very average machine coffee which tells you just how bad it really was.

Despairs, Guadaloupe. (Pronounced short Dey-hey). Today’s office was the beautiful botanical gardens, but too many photos to post. However, theses two flamingos were having a stoush. Note the very ruffled feathers of the one on the right.

I do watch “Death in Paradise” but didn’t want to do the walking tour. Most sets are built for filming anyway, except the police station building.

Not to make light of your situation, but zooming in on the board on the wall, it says "Welcome Ronald". I work on the principle the only time I get called by my full name is when I'm in trouble. How does MrsDrRon address you normally?
