the tastings were interesting. They arrived in test tubes which according to my Mrs Nuts wine dude uncle doesn't do the nose thing. Anyway, wines were fine the host arrived said they should have given us a glass to decant to....

Our morning coffee stop in Beechworth Victoria. We had a great stay at the Beechworth on Bridge Motel, and found The Conservatory just down the road, which is a bar/lounge in the evenings, and do coffee and cakes during the day. A couple of snaps in their courtyard.

New year's ever office, a tour organised through Franscene Bellarine that included a return ferry from Docklands to Portarlington, single course long lunch lunch at Jack Rabbit Winery that included a free glass on arrival and tastings plus transfers. The views were stunning, looking back over the bay to Geelong. We paid for additional wines and deserts, highly recommend. (Edit: was about $150 each, we did the sums and yeh, was good value)

Such a beautiful spot! We visited friends in Melbourne a few years ago and they took us to Jack Rabbit on the ferry for lunch and drinks. It was such a fantastic day and we met some ex AFL players on the ferry back and partied all the way home (can't remember their names but I believe they were Geelong legends from the past).

Absolutely Scash! We're definately doing a repeat visit and the adult kids are keen to join. There's a couple of quirky shops in Portarlington that sell cool stuff at a fraction of Mornington's prices. Sadly, some of the old olive groves are being bulldozed for housing subdivisions.

On the Victorian theme, we stopped at Glenrowan on the way home yesterday. The kids gave us a voucher for Christmas to Baileys vinyard, both agreed we had the best pizza lunch in a long time with a glass of red.

Oddly the boarding time is 0751 … this is the first time I’m seeing 0751h, usually I see boarding time in 5 minute intervals (0845 or 0750)

While in the region, we also stopped at Morrisons of Glenrowan. This is an old style tasting room where you talk to the owner/wine maker. There are plenty of reds to choose from but as the driver, was limited to selecting a glass of the Premium Reserve that very tasty. A bottle of the Reserve and Muscat made it's way home.

...and to complete the overnighter in Glenrowan, how could you not do a visit to Kellyland: Animatronic Theatre Museum. Cheesy yes but entertaining and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Agree, but our experience was marred by overcrowding and very rude/inconsiderate patrons. Lots of shoving and generally uncomfortable for others in my party. Was told we might have got it on a bad (holi)day. I didn't take many pics from the experience.

Had lunch at the Towers Lodge (Hunter Valley). Can recommend.
Unfortunately this was the only photo as the company was too good and I forgot about AFF requirements.
It had free EV charging so while lunching we deposited over 40kWh in the car batteries (we went up in 2 electric cars).

Luckily less than 24hrs before the kitchen roof Fire. No, not caused by charging the cars
