Recent viewing of inhabitants worth showing total respect when walking at Seawinds Gardens Mornington Peninsular Victoria. The two large Roos where having a fair dinkum boxing match until one gave way.

We've had pretty great weather on our road trip. Yesterday, that changed. It didn't stop us parking up by Ogwen Cottage and hiking up (don't even bother trying to pronounce this!) Cwm Idwal Wonderful views once we ascended, but we couldn't wait to get back to our hotel to strip off our very wet gear. The waterproofing worked well, though.

Shire and Parks Victoria decided in their wisdom, the best time to close the pier carpark for demolition with eventual reconstruction of said Pier, should start November

Slight change in plans... snowed overnight, yesterday none of the mountains had snow at all. Pen-y-Pass, Snowdonia. Given we don't have winter tyres on, wasn't worth the risk so had to abandon going to Llanberis and doing the hike we had planned. I don't think my insurance would cover any accidents related to sliding down mountains if you're too dumb to drive on them without winter tyres...

View of the MCG from my room on the 18th floor at Pullman Melbourne on the Park. Ready for the festivities to start on Friday night, but I need to visit my 96 year old Mum first and take her out to lunch on Friday.

2nd day, another 343 stairs climbed later, caught Vienna in sunset.

Edit: this one was a much more brutal climb than yesterday because I had an extra 7kg backpack on me. Quads felt it at the top.
