Mrs Jase’s mother got taken to hospital and has finally succumbed to her cancer. Son called whilst we were on flight home to let us know she passed.

Missed it, but today we did what is described by some as the best road in the world, Transfagarasan Highway

and we could barely contain our excitement with seeing 10 bears.
Unfortunately they come to the main road for food which some people give to them.
We were told that last week an Italian motorcyclist was mauled to death after approaching a bear with 3 cubs.

Bear kills man in Romanian mountains

The man was dragged down a steep ravine, and despite wearing a helmet and protective clothing, his injuries were "extremely severe", officials say.
