Whenever we are ashore, there are about six of the crew with rifles in a perimeter with 'shoot to kill' (the menacing bear) orders, if necessary.

We went inside to see a 'Son et Lumiere' show "Egypt of the Pharoas".It was spread over 4 of the pens. The images were projected over all walls and the water.

Today we went to Arcachon a small town on Arcachon Bay about 50 minutes from Bordeaux by rail.

The centre of town is of absolutely no architectural merit. It is mostly composed of the type of bland modern shops and apartment buildings found at any seaside holiday town built in the last 20 years. However there is a part of town on hills overlooking the sea called the "WinterTown". It consists of over 300 grand villas built in the late 19th/early 20th Centuries.

My current standard office for the foreseeable ... this time it was surfs up in Fort Dauphin during sunrise. No swim for me today as don't want to get my foot infected (plus it's rather sore!), but did most of the daily HIIT session.
