Canola (I am pretty sure) in the top picture, and everlastings in the lower one with a few white flowers. You might be more used to seeing masses of pink everlastings daisies.

They aren’t “meadows” over here in the west. Either acres of farm grown canola for oil, or miles of open rural/outback land otherwise sparsely covered in saltbush and melaleuca.

We hired some E-bikes today and went out into the countryside around Muenster. We were out for about 7 hours. Not that we were riding all the time. We stopped a number of times for lunch and snacks.
