Today's office Mt Koko, Oahu. Got to about 40 steps from the top, there was a medical incident on the steps. not sure what, but considered it would be not appropriate to step over a prone person receiving medical attention. Brilliant views, and the climb.... realising I am not getting any younger.

ANZAC Day, Villers-Bretonneux, 12:45am departure from our Gite, security checks and transfers to shuttle bus in Glisy, arrival at the memorial at 1:45am. There was an excellent series of stories, film clips, and musical items, hosted by Stephanie Brantz until 5:15am, when the program began.

Walk up to the site of proceedings

They projected photos on to the tower of the memorial of AIF soldiers who died in 1917.

Laying a wreath with daughter and granddaughter for 1924 Reginald Oates and 1923 Clifford Oates (36Bn) and 866 Ronald Oates (35Bn).

Reg survived the war, minus his left leg, but the other two remained behind forever on the Western Front.
