The view from my "office"

Sorry, it was L23. The company I worked for subleased half of L23 after Mark Bethwaite 'downsized' :). We had oodles of space, hence the wide-eyed new guy got a front window office. We moved in 1995 or 1996 IIRC.

We did some deals for RGC :D.

Yes, Mark ended up downsizing himself and went back to sailing. I remember when you guys moved in, I went out and worked around the mine sites for a while. L23 had exploration, payroll and the mailroom at a rent cost of $1M per year in 1994. Easily moved upstairs.

This might not seem much but as you can see Row 87 on a A380 is a blessing when you have it all to yourself. All made possible due to a little iPhone program discovered recently.

The program is called seat alerts. I used it just after boarding QF 9 to LHR.

I then walked back to the desk and kindly requested my seat changed.

This may not work all the time but it did this time.

Being at the end of boarding may help as the seats maps are more definitive.

Yes there is a subscription service. But if you time it right you can use the free version.

One of the sad facts of everyone getting older, is that this may be the last time I see this particular "office" colleague from last night at the Brissie Entertainment Centre! With two members of Pink Floyd having already passed, and the remainder well into a "normal" retirement age, last nights Roger Waters "Us and Them" concert may well be the last of the famous laser light shows of the era.
...
Managed to catch “Their Mortal Remains” at the V&A last July. Fabulous exhibition.

It is travelling so maybe possible to catch it elsewhere on our travels. It’s on in Rome until April ‘18.

The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains - Home

The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains review – look, a flying pig!

Nice looking pub! Doesn't look like much work going on with that computer (nor the beer, for that matter)!

Is that the American Werewolf lying on the floor next to the bar?

Just had a look at Onslow's location. It's about midway between Perth and Bali

Of course you are!

It certainly looks to be large and furry. You coukd well be correct. :)

It's the norm in the UK for people to bring their dogs into the pubs, I think there were more dogs than people later that night, although not as rowdy. The pub is the Fat Fox Inn, in Watlington, which is 30-40 minute drive from Heathrow. I stop in there after the flight to the UK, so I can walk around the village and reset the body clock, along with the anti-jetlag properties of their beer.

I made sure I took said ownership of these seats throwing my jacket across and making sure I did lie down as soon as the seatbelt light went out. Not wanting another bedfellow. This is the ultimate Jetlag treatment sleep. Oh my pleasure regarding the program. It took me awhile but I upgraded for a small fee and even had the ÄFF discount and keep it for such fairly frequent events.

I even know what my chances on upgrades are using this App.

I just looked at the Onslow website to find out what their main claim to fame is. It would appear it's either tourism (grey nomads probably) or salt!

Being in the Pilbara, I was guessing iron ore might play a part but apparently not.

Certainly an attractive looking airport for a small costal town!
