Greece Day 6 - Mykonos

Dinner day 5 was in Aylos Yiannis at Vasilikos. Fairly simple Greek tavern but they do a good pizza and we needed to step back from the finer dinning

Day 6 saw us on the bus again to Paraga. Lovely beach and quite quiet before we tackled the coastal walk around to Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach is beach club heaven (or hell) depending on your perspective. We got the first bus out.

Really? I though it was great. I'm talking about Sighișoara, not Bran Castle (which I also went to and was good, except for the 'Dracula' themed 'market' on its fringe).
Yes, this one?

Last stop for us was then Sibiu, we were surprised at the size of the town centre and it ended up being the biggest place we went through.

Only 2 lei to walk up the clock tower, which gave great views out over the city. Shame the weather wasn't so great.

We enjoyed our lunch on the way back to Otopeni (4.5 hour drive from Sibiu) with this random road and river side restaurant. Not a word of English written or spoken... but cooked on the outdoor grill and we all made it work 😋

Actually, no. I looked up my TR

(Something has happened to the pics in that report) There was a torture chamber museum and a Vlad Impaler (son of Vlad 'Dracula') museum.

I began and ended my tour in Sibiu - I recall the flight in as the OS pilot, while we were waiting for a thunderstorm to clear, referred to X minutes of fuel left, and we landed at X+ about 15 mins!!

Love the "door.cough". I take lots of pics of interesting doors when overseas

Have you been to Zanzibar? Search on 'Zanzibar doors' :)

Interesting, wonder if they are no longer then.

Mrs Nut and I have kicked off our long awaited five week holiday starting off by catching the Saturday midday train from Canberra to Sydney. No pics (forgot TBH) but the trip was relaxing all the more so over a few wines and snacks. The "office" since Saturday has been Coogee with a quick side trip to The London in Paddington for a Sunday lunch/session with friends.

...then it all went crazy. Coogee Bay around 2pm today on a glorious spring day.

Next stop: Bangkok. Will see if I can grab a few shots from the Qantas F lounge and Finnair economy office tomorrow.
