coughatoos have escalated from picking our fruit and throwing it at us to eating power lines.

Dead coughy hanging from the line and hubby is waiting for electrician.

Husband says a group of coughys are squawking in mourning.

My sister and some of her old fogeys group are at a concert at Homebush, complaining about the water bottle lids being removed from sales staff and now they're at risk of drink spiking.

I said next time, just take a lid and "Who are these people spiking middle aged women's drinks for you to be so concerned?"

This is why I've never been asked to join my sisters old fogeys group.

Presumably the Queen concert?

Think so but Freddie is dead so does that make it a cover band?

If you're there and you see a bunch of 50+yrs with 40th birthday cough tats, try to resist the urge to spike their drinks :p

Started the long haul today of getting the house ready for sale next year. Adelaide RE has jumped nicely in last 12 months and we are in excellent area schools. Mentioned MrP’s idea of knocking down a wall between dining and kitchen (pokey thing it is) and he said we must do it  Also remake of laundry and dig up front verandah. Plus paint of whole house. Carport. While usually cosmetic changes are all that’s done for sale we’ve done the maths and are very confident the cost will be well and truly recovered. We plan on enjoying it for a few months before we sell. In about 15 months time.

We seem to be getting the remnants of Cyclone Kelvin. Very high winds. Our next door neighbor with the tree that was supposed to have been trimmed this week won’t have a relaxing sleep tonight as it’s bombarding our backyard currently with those nuts.

Sounds exhausting, Pushka.

I have no design or styling talent, which is why I have saved Instagram photos of house design quirks that I like.

Same here. But once an idea is presented I can run with it. Went to buy stuff to make a fascinator today. I’ve been watching YouTube how to’s. Got to the area and mind went blank. Could not think how how to put it together. Walked out with nothing.

I'm currently spending the last night in my holiday house before it settles in a few days - had it for 20 years, longer than any other real estate I've owned (and also the largest place!!) Its going fully furnished, which is a blessing, and will be cleaned, as usual, by the management lot.

So enjoying a few (OK, more than a few) Rockfords on the deck.

People buying were the first offerors, offered before it went on the market, so no advertising cost, and got more than asking price! May the sales Force be with you, Pushka :). Auction?

Oh I hear your nostalgia kicking in.
Auction yes. But if a nice offer beforehand it will go. If we don’t get the right price, we will wait.

Yowsers it’s seriously windy here.

What's the plan after the house sells?

River apartment? Sounds nice.

Yep. We bought one off the plan 10 years ago. It’s been rented out since. Lost it’s value initially but as we’d always planned to live there it doesn’t matter. Will rent another 1 bedder as I think MrP has too much cough library to fit every thing and I want a second uncluttered bedroom.
