Copping a bit of snail mail due to the data breach at Sabre...

Friendly from the Sabre user, or spam from those who got the data?

Authentic - I think. Email from Sabre and snail mail from hotels. Data breach occurred between Aug 16 and March 17 .... Sabre started advising their clients in June.

I heard about that through work (corporate account) - the delay in notification of the breach was not well received.

Busy day in the kitchen.

Made a couple of lasagne (what's plural for lasagne?), made marinades to freeze for beef brisket later this week, made spinach and onion quiche with duck eggs from brother in laws pet ducks and tomorrow will attempt Korean double fried chicken in sauce.

I'm continuing my clean-up/decluttering of house. Lots of books to go - paperbacks, hardbacks, all fiction.

I've previously given retired books to the hospital auxiliary, and could do again, but are there any other charities & the like who might take them?

We gave our old books to Lifeline for the book fair when we were moving. In Canberra though it is quite a local affair so not sure what other states are like.
Flying Mermaid needs to take careful note here; I seem to remember she has done a bit of a clean out and is now down to about 1000 books. :D

Very impressive Denali.
We are having venison steak with red wine for dinner.\
Have put a few herb plants out in the lift area for our floor for people to use. Our neighbours used to have flowers there but they moved last week so I got in quickly. :p
The new people have moved in but it is a bit strange without the General and his wife; lovely people though perhaps a good move as both over 80 and their health is starting to be a concern.

Must be lasagne weather! I bought everything to make it tomorrow - I slow cook the ragu for about 5 hours.

I've been purging so much stuff lately too. Tomorrow is kitchen day.

Is anyone around you doing the little community libraries on their fence? You could drop books into them.

Had fun window shopping for furniture today. I think we've made a few decisions so ordering will be easier when the time comes. There was a couch we really wanted but was just too big for the space we've got, but it turns out they can custom make is one seat smaller so its perfect!

Such fun. We recently replaced the Stressless chairs in the TV room but went for Tessa in red leather as they were a little smaller and fit better.

Cinema seats that recline and have cup holders is pretty much the only couch I'm allowed to have.
