Had some airfreight coming from Los Angeles to Melbourne - the airfreight company put it into a can/ULD that was booked on QF12 departing LAX to SYD on February 8th. For reasons unknown it could not be found after arrival in Sydney and QF + the airfreight company have been trying to locate it ever since - until it suddenly arrived in Sydney on February 20th on QF8 from DFW.

I'm guessing that it got to Sydney and then somehow accidentally got sent to DFW...

Friend of mine had a missing component of a large single-item consignment turn up 4 months later! It was a custom item so the part couldn't be replaced. No idea how (a) it got separated and (b) where it was for all that time.
