I wonder how many members have managed to "stuff up" bookings and transfers of points and complimentary passes. Today I was trying to do a good deed for a relative who had a domestic transfer from Qantaslink requiring a 5 hour overstay in Sydney before her next domestic flight on JQ (a sensible choice as it was a direct flight) . Grandma gave permission to use her last complimentary Q Club pass for the year and so I logged on to link it to sister's flight details. Just as I had carefully checked all the details and was set to go, husband rushes in wanting emails to be sent. Emails duly sent I then get back to the original task. The process of linking a Q Club invitation to JQ is a mite more complicated than if she had flown Q all the way. A few minutes after clicking the button to link, I realised that although I had put in the flight booking code correctly and all the other deails, the date was set to today (she is flying tomorrow). Unfortunately unlike the deed cannot be undone according to Qantas. So poor sister misses out on a bit of comfort and I feel a real muppet.
