I'm trying to see the value in buying tickets to places you don't really want to be at a time when you really don't want to go just to earn double sc for a few very limited perks that, besides queue jumping, you could pay for it yourself for a lot cheaper. It's invariably thousands of dollars for a few perks that are like whoopydoo. If you put as much energy into making money, you'd be a multimillionaire or billionaire and have your own jet or can afford to fly without bothering with all this.
We're trying to buy enough in the next year to get platinum, mucking round with the glitchy Qantas site and thought we really don't want to be in Cairns in January, nor Denpasar! Nor do we want to fly to Melbourne, that dive of a socialist hell hole, just to catch a flight to Cairns via Brisbane in January!!
