The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

I had a similar issue with the second purchase but Michelle from SL is fantastic and the service was superb. Get in touch if you have issues at all, she'll fix them for you.

Teebs - can you PM me contact details for Michelle? I had an issue with the order. Delivered two cases but only paid (and charged) for one. Need to let them know. The email address confirming my order doesn't seem right.

Cheers.

Those who haven't gotten onto the squitchy are missing out. I'm 3 bottles deep and this 94 pt yarra valley pinot at 12.50 / bottle is a steal. Beefarmer - best comparison I can give is to your recommendation of the top paddock at $10 / bottle...this smashes it.

Where is is $12.50?

All I can say is I would love 4-6 botts from someone. I have stacks and from what I have read, this one has about 18 months left in it. Supurb really, but 12 is too much. Any offers?

I've looked at this thread for the very first time this morning and already I've ordered a case of the Squitchy Lane. My kindly neighbour has been doing quite a bit of carting upstairs for me lately - he calls it exercise. He thought the Spy Valley and the Glenlofty (from Vinomofo) would be the last for some time and I concurred with him (I think I had my fingers crossed behind my back). Maybe I'll get home before he does for this case?

It's a belated BOOM for me on the Squitchy Lane as well. It will be interesting to see what it's like. I was hoping that someone might have posted a review on CT for me.

I will now (eventually) have 12 Squitchy to compare with one lonely Layla…..
Meantime , it's a Rockferry night tonight

I cannot recall exactly but it was reasonably quick (e.g. within a week) to metro Melb.

That's not to bad for delivery to your doorstep. As long as I don't have to cart the wine Bottles around I am happy.

Mine are coming in the not too distant. I look forward to the tasting.

Pinot is a funny beast. My first bottle of the Layla had me in raptures, a little like that west oz one, Byron and Harold, in February. The next bottle of both had me a little indifferent. Go figure. All the pinots, Top Paddock cleanskins from bocaccios have been damn good, including one last Saturday night. I haven't found this level of variance with the nobler varieties. I remember every bottle of the I-777 from Tomich was stunning. It doesn't matter really so long as they are good.
