$793 according to this:

$684 Nan/Syd/Mel/Bne

I was quoting base fares off EF, tho may have put in MEL-NAN by accident. ITA comes up 818.29, not sure where that difference is from either. YR is $30. Either way more than I remember it a year ago, prices do go up though...

From the QF Fiji site is it still possible to book the return leg? I can do it via ifly but not the actual QF site...

I had a go now and via the QF multi city tool I look for BNE-MEL and then MEL-NAN and take the option via Sydney

I found using the QF booking engine, you can't book the flights on the same day for the low price but with iFly you can. You can get the flights on the same day with the QF booking engine but the cost jumps quite a lot.

Is QF trying to put a stop to the low cost NAN run or at least make it more expensive to do it on the same day?

Why not just book it with the BNE-MEL leg the day before then change the date of that flight over the phone making sure that the flight you want has availability?

I suspect the price would increase as this is what happens if you do it all the same day on QF's booking system. iFly's Sabre system lets you do this without the extra same day charge that QF applies.

Really enjoying the discussion. Could someone assit me as i saw this available for the 11th June
05:55 Brisbane 08:20 Melbourne Qantas flightQF605
09:30 Melbourne 10:55 Sydney Qantas flightQF420
13:10 Sydney 18:55 Nadi (Fiji) Qantas Airways flight operated by Air PacificQF391

$764
Would this get me the 180 SC as they are different flight numbers or is this not allowed:?:

Also there is sometimes routing via AKL on a Monday. Does this also give me the SC's from NAN to AKL?

Appreciate your help

60+40+80=180SC, not sure what you mean about different flight numbers - it is 3 separate flights after all

Booking engine comes up with AKL but usually that is much more expensive - doesn't fit the routing rules of this fare. QF or FJ flight number? It should earn points regardless.

Assuming travel is J, yes 180 QF SC's. QF SC calc doesn't handle Akl/Nan but I would assume at least the same.

I think the biggest difference between the FJ and QF flight numbers, WP's entry into the SYD F Lounge. And during the promo, it had to be a QF Flight number to get *2 SC's.

keep going and you will end up at the same screen once you have selected your flights. His was only a one way hence the 3 sectors, but yours will also show the 3 return sectors. Because the tool assumes the NAN-MEL direct, it wont allow the MEL-BNE sector on the same day, even when you select the flight via syd. but this can be changed later I assume.

Looking at doing nan run for the double SCs promo (woo! :)). Has anyone done the overnight mel- nan flight (arrives 6am ish) and then the 9am flight to syd same day? Any issues with customs or checking in for flight back?

Qantas have made it really hard to do the run over one day (well one-way) and you cant do Multi trip ex-fiji anymore.

My partner just booked the run for dbl sc's via bestflights (I know .. I hate, but it works there)

Yeah I can can't seem to get the last mel-bne on the same day as nan-syd-mel.
Thinking about booking bne-mel-nan-syd-mel for fri/sat and then just having the last mel-bne for sometime in July (my qualifying year ends in june) and just have a separate booking back to brisbane on the saturday after nan run.

I'll have a look at bestflights though.

edit: bestflights works, but I might go pricematch at my travel agent instead.
Thanks!

Just gave it a go on jetabroad.com.au and works perfect. I have never trusted bestflights...

... is there a double status credit promo going on now??? I must have missed that somewhere. I'm looking at going to Fiji later this year but could bring the trip forward if there are double SC's on offer
