The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

Just making another booking for 2ppl in Jan 27,
I usually look at 1 adult first as in the past ive had availability go to none as soon as select 2 ppl when I can book separately

the flights in question, there is some that are showing available for 2ppl and about double for 1ppl

I call up to check to see actually how many availble, and the ones showing for 1ppl, is actually 1 ppl

Operator then suggests, since its so far ahead, recommend to book 1 ticket and then wait until SIA release more

Kind of think thats pretty irresponsible , especially if they dont release or wait lists not clearing
If suggest that's the smart play, book 1 ticket if only available. Five it many times myself when needing 2.
Not much damage cancelling a reward ticket if need be.

i have expiring miles to deal with so it doesnt fit my best interests, to just wait and hope

I guess for others, thats the point of a wait list.

Q: if you waitlisted it, and SIA decided to release more, wouldnt you get first prioirty?
