“The House” or QF F in Sydney - what’s your recommendation and why?

BA and "The House" at SYD

So....after taking the train, I avoid the livestock truck, I arrived at check in for BA16......and was somewhat surprised to be given an invitation to "The House" rather than pointed towards the QF F lounge. So what is going on there then? More BA cost cutting attempts? As an aside fast track...

QF Flounge wins hands down.
I've only been to The House once but was very disappointed with the food offer that day (although can't remember the menu).
The bartender was quite good and drinks list good but no comparison to Qantas F.

The lounge itself is also a bit sterile. Same as all the other Etihad lounges I've previously been in.

A better comparison would be the QF J lounge although I'd probably still pick QF if it wasn't too busy.

QF would win hands down. Was in The House last night and it was crowded (not that QF isn't) and the food offering ordinary, and no seats to even eat at. We left early and went for a wander for some peace and quiet!

I've been in The House before and it wasn't nearly as bad. Might have been a busy night. But even on a quiet night, QF would still win.
