The end of .br (and other) YQ deals on QF

Just saw on the QF Agents site that from 7 May, YQ will be based on point of origin, not point of ticketing. This will close the (very few), .br and other country YQ loopholes.

Looking at the example quoted, this will also affect nested returns, which will probably mean they are not worth doing any more.
 
It will barely affect anything. As it stands it is illegal to charge the YQ at all if the point of sale in Brazil, so that won't change. But they will most likely still keep restricting Brazil POS for these reasons.

As for the nested returns, the base fares are much lower when flying ex- (anywhere other than Australia generally) so a slight change in currency calculations on the fuel surcharges will have negligible difference.
