Interesting survey - would love to see its reach expanded to cover other countries incl Australia and see if the results changed!

Bed comforters, bathroom faucets, TV remotes, toilet bases and telephones were found to be the dirtiest spots.

A TV remote at one hotel in Vancouver allegedly recorded an ATP level of 22,292, with over 70 per cent of remote controls tested receiving a caution or fail result. To put this into perspective, an ATP level under 300 is considered a “pass”, between 300 and 999 is in a caution zone and over 1000 is a fail.
And you may think washing your hands is the way to reduce germs – but 30 per cent of the faucets failed.
Meanwhile, comforters failed 23 out of 51 tests, with the highest score of 26,124.
