Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

Has anyone noticed the old "Big Win" dashboard active link has been removed from the "My Offer Status" page of the IHG website? It is of course, still available directly through the link given here on AFF.

PS....I get the error message when trying to log in to the new site as well :(

Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

Got my offer. Fairly pedestrian. Grand total (including the all-done bonus) of ~60k points up for grabs for me.

Some BoardingArea blogger said that it "may not be worth" doing the promo (or studiously) - I think they are more referring to people who may "mattress run" parts of the promo to get the relevant bonuses (in cases like these, they claimed that it would be plain easier to "buy" the promotion's points if you're just going to mattress run parts of it). If it's all incidental to your stay patterns and / or you need the stays / nights to count up for status (re)qualification, perfect.
I guess as I didn't participate in the last Big Win promo that that has lead to my available points being ~90,000.

Link now working 86k on offer, most are difficult if not impossible with current travel patterns but a good chance to get around 20 - 30k of bonus points. Doesn't seem a lot, but better than some other promotions I guess.

only 31k total for me. must be something to do with my absent IHG history.

Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

Getting an error but this time I see error message.

"We are sorry, but there was an error. Please try again later."

Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

I received an email to register earlier today with a total of 107, 600 points on offer. I think I should be able to achieve it but a couple of things confused me.

Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

a couple of things confused me.

Please do share!

I can't seem to see the "views.dashboard.offer.r.header" stay, but it looks like that is a glitch and it's the old resort stays (3 night minimum again troop......don't get caught). Only problem is the participating resorts don't seem to be loaded yet.

My offer is for 78 200 -
Stay and earn more - 9200 (total of 7 nights)
Explore our brands - 17600 (3 different IHG brands)
Start the day right - 2000 (1 stay B&B)
Win in a weekend - 4800 (stay 2 Saturday nights
views.dashboard.offer.r.header - 7200 (2 resorts 3 nite min each stay)
Mobile app booking - 4800 (book twice)
Authentic experiences - 9600 ( 2 IC hotel stays)
The Big Win - 23000

Some of their terms certain do suck.........What about the "Win in a weekend" challenge, that requires two Saturday night stays . I know I've been known to miss some days following a bender, but the last time I checked, there was only one Saturday night in a weekend

I assume that means two separate stays, with each one including a Saturday night?

If that's not the case, I do have a time machine to lend you...... in the year 30000.

No, they state one stay is fine......but it has to include two Sat nites (hardly a weekend).

I hope your time machine is not that Tardis that crash landed in England

Re: Master Priority Club bonus thread.

Win Big offer of 107,600 points

- Stay and earn more - 15,600 points (total of 10 nights)
- Explore our brands - 16,800 points (3 different IHG brands)
- Start the day right - 3,000 points (1 stay B&B)
- Survey the win - 100 points
- Win in a weekend - 8,400 points (stay 3 Saturday nights)
- Eat it up - 700 points (spend 70€ on food or beverage)
- Getaway with a win - 9,000 points (1 resort 3 nite min each stay)
- Win Big - 54,000 points

Start the day right confused me but I think you have explained it.

Appears doable but the Saturday night stays are a slight hurdle.

I love how IHG are teasing me with my offers....

One is to book a stay with a PC Black Credit card. Well I applied for one a few weeks ago and was denied based on their bank associate in the UK being incompetent (of course there is more to the story, but this is enough here).

It would be great to earn 107, 600 points but the cost is too high in order to achieve it.

A quick calculation means I would need to spend at least AUD1, 800 to achieve it.

I think I can buy the points for ~AUD800.

You probably can't rack up 107,600 points in a single calendar year by buying the lot (IIRC there are annual buy limits), but point taken and a similar analysis was undertaken by a blogger.

However, most of these promotions work more for those whose stays will incidentally get them the wins anyway. It's often not feasible to "run" the entire promotion (unless the runs are also used to requalify / qualify for status).

Book 10 nights at a 15,000 point/night hotel using 5,000 points/night + US$70/night. Then cancel the booking.

You are totally right. I wasn't meaning to put down the whole promotion. I think it is a great idea and if you can somehow fit it in scheduled travel even better.

I was finding I had to create trips to make up the resort and the number of nights. I will be able to achieve some bonus points so still good.

Oh yeah, forgot about that method :) That said, didn't some people rack up quite a bit with this method and then were summarily shut down by IHG (nee Priority Club)? (Maybe they don't give a damn any more).

Relax - wasn't construing that you were trashing the promotion. Just thought I'd add an answer point because I read about this new Big Win from a blogpost, and there seemed to be an implication that some people were simply running stays / nights in order to make up the Big Win, which consequently seemed to be used to "rate" the "worthiness" of the promotion. In fact, the value in the promo is for incidental stays (i.e. stays which you would "normally" book anyway) - we're on the same page for that one.

I must have missed that one where IHG shut down accounts.

As an alternative if you have the points balance you can continue to use the lowest possible points cost and pay the $70/night for actual award nights. I guess in essence you are buying the points and extending the life of your current stash.
