John, it was going to be in J but had to change the itinerary last night and so now lost the B788 and A359 flights... :(

Ok, well I'm sure I will do another ride on them this year...

I've only flown it twice (PEK-WAW return) on LO. Both flights were in Y. I think the plane was fine. It seemed reasonably quiet to me, although since I was sitting in the back row for both flights and wearing QC15s, I may not have noticed as well as others. I think the windows are pretty good. The 5 gradient tint actually solves the problem of letting people look outside during day flights while not glaring out other passenger's IFE screens, so it is pretty good in my opinion. Can't say I felt more refreshed when I got off than after flying other planes for similar length flights (9-10 hours).

We travelled QR J on A380 & same as 787 seat. The main thing for me was QR's 1-2-1 config compared to the older 2-2-2.

A first for me flying north over sunset.

The windows, shaded at different levels of blue, reflected, quite badly, cleaning "marks" and looked shockingly dirty. They gave the whole cabin a shabby appearance on an otherwise very tidy looking cabin.

And I noted the forward loos on the JQ 787 are not the same as the mid cabin ones. And they seem to be getting broken already.

I was lucky to get 3 seats to myself and it didn't matter that I had recliners in front of me who reclined the whole flight including during the meal service.

It's an OK plane. On JQi, the A330s are better IMO.
