Hi,

First of all many thanks for those who have promoted the Platinum challenge.

I completed this this week :) Incidently the flight that gave me Platinum earnt us 10,146 miles (so we just squeezed in)

However - now I have a problem - how can I prove it?

I am currently in Perth - and despite contacting AA, they say there is nothing they can do to assist me. I did ask if they could fax over a confirmation - but no :(

Sadly I do not have a printer where I am, so cannot print off the AA page for both our accounts. I have managed to print the page(s) to a PDF on my laptop - but that is no good for checkin.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I can prove that I am now a One World Saphire? (I will not get the cards for another month or so - and have a few flights before then)

Many thanks.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Airlines have the ability to see your status even without a card.

When's your next flight? Is it with Qantas? AA?

Phone up Qantas or AA, get them to remove your FF number from your booking, then re-add it.

It should then show your status (I assume, Havn't tried this).

That should print onto your BP and give you lounge access where applicable (and according to the rules of the schemes)

They could double check when you enter by calling / checking online your status if they so desire.

Once in the lounge, print out your status pages and retain (assuming it has a printer!)

Or even you could visit an Internet Cafe and print out the pages for a very small fee.

Thanks.

My next flight is Qantas on business - so I am not too worried - but in a week or so's time I have a couple of economy flights.

I will get my agent to remove and re-add the FF no's.

If they remove and reinsert the FF number it will indeed refresh the status. QP staff can see in the reservation your status so for a QF flight you should be fine ( I just went through this process for a friend who just stole some candy only yesterday at the SYD QP )
