According to reports in today's Bangkok Post and The Nation, Thai Airways International and Bangkok Airways are facing flying bans to the United States. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been investigating the Thai aviation sector after an ICAO downgrade on June 18. The FAA has now given Thailand 65 days to address its shortcomings or face a ban on launching flight services to the US.

For more detailed info visit the Bangkok Post and search for "Thai airlines face flying ban to US".

Glad I don't have a bunch of points pushing me to fly this airline.

The US system doesn't ban airlines from downgraded nations from flying to the US, just limits them to the type and ports currently used at the time of the downgrade.
The EU outright bans airlines from EU airspace.
