TH operational changes (in part due BKK flooding)

Airline Route are reporting significant changes to the Thai schedule starting next month, including the return of the 747s to SYD:

THAI Operation Changes From Dec 2011 to Mar 2012 | Airline Route

Further, due to on-going flooding situation, a number of long-haul routes sees temporary service reduction by average 1-2 weekly for the first-half of December 2011. Note the Star Alliance member is continuing to monitor the situation and future bookings, and will further adjust planned operation when required.

Details:

Bangkok – Colombo 25NOV11 – 15JAN12 Boeing 777-300 replaces Boeing 777-200ER (Service is cancelled effective immediately until 24NOV11)
Bangkok – London Heathrow 16JAN12 – 24MAR12 Airbus A340-600 replaces Boeing 747-400, 2 Daily
Bangkok – Oslo 01DEC11 – 20DEC11 Airbus A340-600 replaces Boeing 777-200 on SELECTED DAYS
Bangkok – Sydney 16JAN12 – 24MAR12 Boeing 747-400 replaces Airbus A340-600, 2 Daily

Hmmm...

My family and I are are travelling on Thai from both Brisbane (TG474: 773) and Sydney (TG476: A346) on Sunday 18 December.

I've jumped onto the Thai website and can see that the flights are still running, with the same aircraft (shame because I quite like the TG 747's compared to the A340's!)
