After arriving into the USA and bag drop at TBIT, can someone post a picture of the connection to T5 and give directions from bag drop to the connector.

I can't seem to find the picture of the entrance to the connector from TBIT bag drop

Apologies as this has been posted before but for some reason I can't find it

There is a signposted corridor on the TBIT arrivals level leading towards the connector with a TSA checkpoint in the connector building before going upstairs to the actual passage to T4.

The TBIT end of the connector is next to the QF F lounge. The T4 end is next to gate 41 and the T4 TSA checkpoint.
The T4-T5 tunnel is downstairs by the shuttle bus bay (gate 44). This tunnel goes to gate 53 in T5 and continues to gate 65 in T6. The T6-T7-T8 connectors are above ground near to the TSA checkpoints (gate 60 to gate 71 and gate 70 to gate 80).

Well I had the opportunity to see the new TBIT-4/5/6 connector after arriving on QF93

The queues were extremely long so much so we bailed, went to streetside and walked to T4. The security line at T4 - upstairs was very short.

I counted only 5 people in front of me to the TSA agent then only 4 people in front of me to the xray.

People who are affected by the Qantas-AA oneworld baggage interline rules will never use the new transfer route.

When we arrived on QF93 ~ 2 weeks ago no one at the connector security.
Arriving on QF 11 earlier in the year had ~ 3 in front of us there so just depends.

...
Did you use the transit security accessed via the south end of the arrivals hall (landside) or did you go upstairs to TBIT departures?

That's the first anecdote I have come across of this facility being busy. Perhaps the 'honeymoon' is over ...

But as Quickstatus has discovered you have options...

Try the passage.
If packed, go into main concourse and look upstairs.
If packed, walk landside to T4/T5 etc
