:shock::shock:

GAWD! I don't want to travel through this terminal again....

The story? I thought I'd be clever back a few months and book a more "interesting" route home from the USA...so instead of my usual Y+ on NZ2 LAX-AKL I booked in Y on NZ21 LAX-NAN-AKL..and applied Airbucks for a confirmed upgrade on the long segment...

So far so good....

Then NZ decides to pull out of the LAX-NAN route.. and I am rebooked onto FJ... The upgrade holds so that's not too bad....

Until I get to check in.... this place is a zoo... (at least at 1900 on a Wednesday!) The baggage screening line was 14 miles long... (only a small exaggeration there).. If it hadn't been for the FJ staff taking me to a lesser used area and escorting me to near the front of the line (:rolleyes:) I reckon I'd still be there.....

Then of course I go to the "International Lounge" and find that they have no shower.....:evil:

""Hmmm..." I sez... and trots off to the *A lounge... "NZ codeshare sez I..." as I flashes me Gold card...

:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Admitted with a smile.......

WHEW!!!

How do regular TBIT folk manage?????
I have managed to do my best to avoid TBIT for departures recently. My last few have been on CX and I have used the AA T4 FLounge upon arrival for a shower and feed and then tottle over to TBIT after the early evening rush has died down a little.

I always look at both security screening lines before choosing which one to use. When passing through the check-in zoo there is a security screening area to both the right and left.
