taxes and fees charged in AUD or USD?

hi all,

Looking to book an one way award originating in LAX and coming to Oz, and Qantas has quoted something like $380 for taxes and fees in USD. Question is given that I have both US and AU credit card, which card should I use in order not to attract the foreign exchange fee that my credit cards impose?
