Does anyone have experience of paying their tax bills with credit card, using a third-party payment system like B2BPay? Is it worth it? I may have this wrong, but as I understand it: If I pay, say, $150,000 then the processing fee from a third party could be as high as 2.4% ($3600). 150,000 Qantas points @ 1c each gives me a return of $1500 -- hardly seems worth it when I can do a funds transfer at no cost. Have I got the maths wrong?

No the maths is correct. I looked at paying the ATO using Sniip...the fee was just over 2% (vs 1.29% when I paid some others)...so I decided not to bother. I equate 100k points to a $300-$400 annual fee on a credit card (sign up bonus). Wouldn't pay $3600 for them.

If the fee cannot be tax deductable, makes no sense to do the payment with the current fees? I can see that the fees increase higher and higher every several months.
