Hi All,

I'm flying back from HKG to SYD in F-class and also a WP.

How many guests can I bring in?

Is it still just the one?

I don’t believe you can double up your allowance based on two access rights, but you could always ask and see if they’ll be nice.

Qantas first class lounge access is restricted to one passenger travelling with you. You could take two into the J lounge though.

I think that's only one guest allowed, be it F lounge or J lounge (International that is, Dom J may be different).

Yep, F passenger + one guest. I think the rule used to be "one guest", but has been tightened up to be travelling together.

It's a similar situation to people who have QP access, and are also Gold. The various tiers are not coughulative, so the highest one wins.

If there are six (or more?) lounges at HKG.
Can one guest six different guests into each individual lounge if they are flying with the WP / F Pax ?
Or can a WP guest 1 into SYD FL and guest another into SYD QP, if travelling with WP?
:D

The guester's FF card and BP is swiped upon entry to the lounge so they know how many people you have given entry to at each lounge.

So basically no you couldn't do what you;re proposing.

So the systems communicate to each other between the lounges? That’d be an interesting one to test, unless it’s already happened.

I have previously guested 1 guest into the F lounge and then another guest into the J lounge 10 minutes later. Nothing was said about it. I have done this in both MEL and SIN.

Also, the 1 guest rule is generally waived where travelling with kids. I have never had a problem guesting my 2 kids in together with my wife.

Very much wrong.

Also I could easily escort one guest out and bring another in so only having one guest at a time.

It is physically practical to get more than one guest into a HKG lounge without much effort.

i wanted to try and get the 3 of us together in the same lounge....but looks like no go...

worst case is to drop someone off at the CX F-lounge

I believe the original entry is recorded on the computer (at least in SYD). For example, one trip I went into the lounge, and then exited to retrieve someone I was guesting. Upon re-entry, I was asked "Did you bring a guest in earlier?". I don't think they recognised me as it was only after my card/bp was swiped.

In HKG, they used to cross names/boarding numbers off a list kept at the F lounge entry when people entered.
