Hi,

Could anyone please advise the process for taking purchasing Duty Free in Sydney and taking it to Honolulu.

From what I can gather, do I purchase it at the airport after being screened, then they pack it into a bag that cannot be opened for me to take onboard?

I just don't want any problems with it being confiscated.

Thanks,

Jess

...
Customers travelling to the US may purchase duty free after Immigration and the primary screening point, provided it is delivered by the Duty Free concessionaire/Qantas Group representative to the aerobridge (post gate security). ...
You should ask at the Airport's airside DutyFree store about this delivery service before purchasing.

If you only want to take booze over there, it's cheaper to buy it State-side, as are shoes, boots, clothes etc., I-Pads and other Apple products are around 30% cheaper and only need a U.S.to Aus plug adaptor.
Happy shopping.

Cheers Dee
